Alcorn's private secretary, writing on behalf of Alcorn to T. W. Williamson, concerning certain lands in Panola County, Mississippi, belonging to Williamson, which were sold to satisfy outstanding taxes owed from 1868. Included is a separate note from Hewson giving a summary of his own letter.
