The 7th Regiment, Kentucky Infantry (Confederate), also known as the 7th Kentucky Mounted Infantry, was organized September 1861 in Camp Burnette, Kentucky, under the command of Col. Edward Crossland and served in the Western Theater in the Department of Mississippi and East Louisiana. It was later commanded by Col. Charles Wickliffe. (NPS-BU; Wiki; FS)
